Writer’s guidelines for Interesting Blogger
Since this blog has begun, I have written my own posts on Interesting Blogger. Then, I decided that since one can make submissions to Beyond the Barricade, this blog should be open to submissions as well.
These guidelines aren’t that in depth, but they are something. All of these submissions can concern local, international, or national issues in some way, shape or form. This can be as broad as mass incarceration, the military-industrial-complex, war, imperialism, and high student debt. This blog tries to provoke public discussion on these topics and challenge held perceptions on issues. However, this does not include conspiracy theories. You can either write investigative journalistic pieces, original reporting, citizen journalism, or commentary all that come from a “left” perspective and see the subreddit alltheleft if you need some clarification on what this includes. The length for all the pieces is very flexible. Typically, 4,000 words is suitable but especially for long journalistic pieces the upper limit is 20,000 words, which would be published in numerous parts.
If you have a piece already ready, then please go ahead and email firstname.lastname@example.org (I may get a better email later) If you have an idea for a submission, I’d love to hear what you have to say. Then, it can be fleshed out a bit more. That’s all for now.
